Eldar Shengelaia’s first film to be shot in Georgia follows a group of shepherds who spend nine months a year with their flocks in the Caucasus mountains far from their families. Gela, whose father leads the flocks, is not entirely at ease with this way of life. While on his wanderings, he falls in love with the young Maria and with the fast, varied life in the city. An intimate portrait of a traditional way of living and a film about rebelling against set paths.
